Davido, P Square, Olamide to thrill fans at Glo Battle of the Year national finals

Lovers of dance and music are in for an exciting night as the National Finale of the Glo Battle of the year Nigeria rolls around. Afrobeat superstars Davido, Olamide, P-Square and more set to take the stage for the finals set for April 23 and 30 2022 in Lagos.

It promises to be two nights of unlimited entertainment at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement released to the media, the company noted that “Globacom has always been a promoter of Nigerian entertainment and culture. As we come to the end of an amazing season of riveting dance performances, we want to thrill music and dance fans as well as our subscribers with two unforgettable nights of unlimited entertainment with Davido, Olamide, P Square, Teni, Simi, and a supporting cast of comedians including Basketmouth, Bovi, and others.”

Lagos will play host to dancers from BBoys to Krumpers to Lockers to Afro dancers. With winners from each category as well as Nigeria’s representative at the World Battle of the Year competition in Japan set to be crowned, with mega millions up for grabs.

Following Episode 10, regional finalists emerged in the crew category as the dancers displayed their mastery of the arts, impressing the judges with their solid foundations, clean executions, cyphers, freezes, and power moves.

Some of the crews competing for the crown include the Street Cypher crew coming in from Abuja, Footloops from Benin, BOTY 2017 winners 11 Allstars from Port Harcourt, Funky Fellas from Kaduna, Outsiders from Enugu and the Lagos based 619 crew.

Street Cypher crew already has two dance trophies and will be hoping to make it three, Funky Fellas are coming in hot with three trophies already, with the crew from the crocodile city hoping to make it four.
