The re-election bid of Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has become tougher as Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerged the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to The Nation, Ize-Iyamu on Monday, June 22, pulled a total of 27,838 votes to beat Pius Odubu and Osaro Obazee who got 3,776 and 2,751 votes respectively.

He was declared the winner of the highly anticipated poll by Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma to become the ruling party’s flagbearer in the governorship election scheduled for September.
