The National Examinations Council NECO says its registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Godswill Obioma, died of a brief illness.

Earlier today, media reports claimed late Obioma was strangled at his home in Minna, the Niger state capital.

However, a statement released by the board this morning said family sources disclosed that the NECO boss died after a brief illness.
