Nigerian prolific filmmaker and novelist, Biyi Bandele, is dead.

He died in Lagos on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 54, the family said in a statement on Tuesday morning, August 9.

Bandele is renowned for directing of the movie adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’s classic novel Half Of A Yellow Sun, among others.
