Announcement: Ghana Comedy Awards Unveils New Board

Creative Republic Limited presents The Ghana Comedy Awards, formerly known as the Comedy & Poetry Awards. The organization has officially introduced its restructured Board to oversee and administer this renowned awards program

Entering its fourth edition, the Awards now officially divides the two industries – Comedy and Poetry, commencing its activities with a primary focus on Comedy. This initiative aims to celebrate Ghana’s distinct talents and creative individuals.

The Board comprises prominent personalities and stakeholders from various sectors of the entertainment industry in Ghana, ensuring a diverse and well-versed team to guide the growth of the scheme.

The following is the list of members in no particular order:

Hon. Fritz Baffour: Former Minister of State, Media Mogul, Comedy Legend.

Tommy Annan Forson: Comedy Legend, Ace Broadcaster, Media Mogul.

Socrate Sarfo: Director of Creative Arts – NCC, CEO- Sarfo & Sarfo Ent., Veteran Film Director.

Hon. Mikki Osei Berko: CEO- Media Gold Multimedia Ltd., Actor, Entrepreneur.

Percy Obrempong Agyapong: President, GH Comedians Network, CEO- Playhaus Horizon, Managing Partner – Synergy Facilities GH.

Osei Akoto Kusi-Yeboah: Representative, GH Comedians Network, CEO-Nino Logistics, Nino Multimedia, Nino Real Estate.

In an interview, Mr. Dennis Boateng, the CEO of the Ghana Comedy Awards, emphasized that this restructuring is aimed at ensuring the program attains the highest standards and fulfills expectations while maintaining its credibility as the most prestigious and honorable Comedy Awards scheme in Ghana and beyond.
