Chidinma Leilani Aaron has emerged the winner of the 2018 Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant.

The pageant which was held on Sunday, November 25, took place at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The 25-year-old lady – a native of Anambra state – who represented the southeast zone, emerged winner after surpassing 17 other beautiful contestants.

Eighteen contestants took to the stage at the commencement of the finale before they were trimmed to 12 finalists -Ntan Nton, Egede Lagele, Thomas Mseve, Ameh Munirah, Otunba Ifunaya, Shitta Remilekun, Tizhe Usa Miriam, Okudili Odinaka Doris, Agida Stephanie, Ugwu Ijeoma, Aaron Chidinma Leilani, and Dunu Chisom Olivia.

Following the emergence of the top 12, the contestants were again pruned to five.

Aaron won the crown while Ameh emerged the second runner-up and Dunu was named the first runner-up.

The winner of the pageant, who is a graduate of business administration from Leeds City University in Ibadan, Oyo state, is expected to take home N3 million, a luxury apartment and an automobile.

She officially takes over the crown from Mildred Ehiguese who won the 2017 edition.

It should be noted that there was no registration fee for the 2018 edition of the pageant in a bid to be all-inclusive and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”.
