Looking at it from the bible perspective, name changing has a lot to do with someone’s life. God changed Abram name to Abraham, which translates to father of the nations and this really reflected in his life. This exactly is happening in the life of Turkey based Nigerian singer, Banjo who just added hifi to his name to make him Banjohifi.
Born Adebanjo Aladegbami, no doubt one of the wave-making Nigerian hip-hop singers in the United Kingdom. The Ekiti State, (Ifaki Ekiti to be precise) born crooner has been in the game right from when he was in Nigeria, he is the CEO of Hifi Record. He has released many singles with the likes of Tekno, Stingz and other popular artistes and videos being produced by Unlimited LA before he jetted out of the country to further his education. A graduate of Mathematics from the prestigious University of Lagos.
Banjohifi apart from changing his stage name is also changing many things about himself. One of the finest Nigerian artistes in diaspora, Banjohifi is leaving no stone unturned to make Nigeria proud and promote Nigeria’s culture in his base in Europe. His wave-making single, Escobar has gotten more than 5million views on Boomplay, and other music portals.
And just as he changes his stage name, Banjohifi who is presently studying in Academy of Contemporary Music there in the UK has just dropped another bang, a single with Zinoleesky titled African Vibes and another one Motor Abuja.
Speaking with Metropolix Online on phone, Banjohifi confirmed the release of African Vibes, “It’s one of its kind and a mixture of pop and afrobeats. Some people call it Afro hip-hop but African Vibes is pure Afro-pop. Since it’s released into the market it has become an anthem in most upscale African joints and hangouts in the UK.
African Vibes is a 19 tracks album that has
1. Mini manimo 2. Why 3. Ayami ft Zinoleesky 4. Motor Abuja 5. Cash out 6. Gen Gen Gen 7. Aiye Oba 8. Kosi werey 9. Whinning 10. Ke ke ke 11. Aiye popo 12. Kogbagidi 13. Fake it 14. Gbagbe ose 15. Water 16. Actor tipa boss ft Dondrim 17. Gbemilo
18. Money good ft Pace Alhaji
19. Omologo ft Tipsy
Preparing for a visit to his fatherland, Nigeria, Banjohifi also told us he’s coming to launch African Vibes and also to work with some talented home based artistes before the year runs out.
