Lagos Authorities Declares School Resumption Dates

Lagos State Authorities has introduced a date for college students to resume for the 2021/2022 tutorial session.

The federal government stated that private and non-private colleges are to resume on September 13.

Additionally, model colleges and upgraded faculties will resume in batches from September 19.

Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo in an announcement stated for model and upgraded, SS2 college students looking for placement into SS3 will resume September 19.

Revision lessons will run from September 20 to 26, whereas promotion examination to SS3 will happen from September 27 to October 8.

Newly admitted JS1 college students into model schools and upgraded colleges are to resume on October 2 for a one week orientation programme.

Different lessons, JS 2, JS3, SS1, and the newly transited SS2 within the varied establishments are to renew on October 9. Courses will start on October 11.

Adefisayo stated the staggered resumption was as a result of presence of 2020/2021 SS3 college students writing the West African Senior Faculty Certificates Examination (WASSCE) which can finish October 6.

The commissioner suggested pupils to take their schooling extra seriously by devoting extra time to research. She wished them a profitable session.
