Three persons have been confirmed dead in a road accident that happened along Ondo- Ore highway.

Several persons were said to have been injured in the accident.

The accident was said to have happened on Sunday at Omifon village before Ajue town in Odigbo Local Government Area.

It involved a Toyota Jeep going to Akure and a commercial vehicle travelling from Ondo town toward Ore.

Ondo Police spokesman, Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, said policemen were still on the highway clearing the road to allow free flow of traffic.
