The reboot of the legendary noughties show about the lives of the rich and feisty that made Blake Lively a star. The new “Gossip Girl” is criticized a lot, but it is well-watched – the show was promptly extended for a second season.

The creators of the reboot attempted to marry the old plot of intrigue and competition with the new ethics – the idea, to put it mildly, strange, but the process itself is quite curious to watch. The original show was the fashion bible of its time; the reboot tries not to lag too far behind: the clothes here are the stand-alone heroine.

Generation

It’s another series about Generation Z. This series explores the issues of feminism, gender and acceptance of one’s own sexuality, just like “Euphoria”, but does so in a lighter key. There’s plenty of drama here, too, but it’s a lot less over-the-top.

Among the producers of the show is Lena Dunham, who already did a portrait of a generation in the legendary “Girls.” You may not have had much luck with the follow-up, it was canceled after the first season, but it’s worth a look, with plenty of dash, substance, and style.

Betty

In slang, Betty means the collective image of girls who get up on a board just to attract men. The protagonists of the show purposely assign this word to change the meaning of the sexist term to the exact opposite, as they skate with passion and skill.

“Betty,” like the previous series on the list, also has great style: it has something of Harmony Korine in it, and fans of “Euphoria” will also enjoy it. Overall, however, this is a comparison-free series – it’s original and exists outside the box, as do its beautiful, amazing heroines.

Elite

Three teenagers from not-so-wealthy families were granted scholarships to one of the most prestigious schools in the country.
